David Lynch Directs My Life
I left the lab and returned to my office building around 11:00 AM on Friday, frustrated and working on a caffeine headache. I walked past the men’s restroom. Standing in the open doorway was a man wearing a white t-shirt that was tight over his belly and blue nylon shorts. He looked like my gym teacher. He was facing into the room.

But you have to drive EVERYWHERE in LA. And don’t get me started on the PEOPLE.
I've Got a Bridge to Sell Ya
The assumption that the rating agencies knew their business, a key enabler of the subprime meltdown, is analogous to the view before the Iraq war that Saddam Hussein had WMD. There are a lot of people now who scoff about what an obvious fallacy that was and not many who can point to doubts expressed at the time.
Ridiculous. As someone who was alive and on the internet in 2003, I certainly...
