Joe is a senior at Purdue University, majoring in Computer Engineering. His hobbies include cycling, bicycle customization/restoration, computer programming, rock climbing, home brewing, and computer gaming.

Professionally, Joe is interested in image analysis and its applications to machine vision problems. He recently completed a summer appointment at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory , where he worked on automatic image analysis to inspect optics systems in the National Ignition Facility. He's currently looking at various graduate programs, trying to pick one that fits him.

Joe is currently a freshman engineering counselor at Purdue and one of the student lounge chairs for Eta Kappa Nu Beta Chapter.

Joe received the Eta Kappa Nu Outstanding ECE Junior award in December 2007. His ECE 337 team received the AMD Design Excellence Award in May 2008 for their final class project.
