The Atom’s Everywhere
What’s going on?? Gizmodo’s had two fusion energy posts in the last week, and both claim that their devices are the most realistic hope:

Full Disclosure: I work on the first one, and I’m mildly insulted that the second article totally ignores ICF and acts like it’s not one of the biggest-investment fusion research tracks in the Department of Energy. Tokamaks and other magnetic systems are cool, too, but it’s always kind of irritating the way they dismiss ICF as a possibility.
If you want to read more about Suppes’ results, he publishes everything, which is very cool of him.
As for Gizmodo, this is a big step up from buying stolen phones and then complaining about getting investigated for it.
